With the turn of the New Year about three weeks ago, a lot is on the mind of wrestling fans. Just 22 days in and we have had so many MOTYC already and so many shocking things happen such as Kazuchika Okada announcing his free agency and leaving NJPW.
Questions start to pop up all around: Who will debut in AEW? Who from Stardom is up to take the red belt? Who is Néon going to dive on next? Who from NXT is going to go up before Bron Breakker? Will Miu Watanabe ever win the Princess of Princess Championship? Who will we see finish their story before Cody? With each fan comes their own predictions for the year, and this here is what we here at 6-10 Percent think! As per the name, I asked people for between 6–10 predictions for the New Year, and so, let’s take a peek into what the crazies here have to say.
First Up: Howdy!
- Swerve Strickland will NOT become AEW World Champion
- Mercedes Moné will return to the WWE
- Kaito Kiyomiya will leave NOAH
- Monday Night Raw will air on TNT
- Impact’s rebranding to TNA changes absolutely nothing
- Will Ospreay WILL win the AEW World Title at Wembley Stadium
Second Time Traveler: Floge
- Neón gets a new character and has a breakout year like Máscara Dorada
- Zandokan Jr. joins Los Ingobernables de Japón
- Kaito Kiyomiya leaves NOAH for NJPW or Dragongate
- Miu Watanabe wins the PoP title
- Máscara Dorada makes it to the semi-finals of the BOSJ
- Ami Sourei wins the Cinderella Tournament
Third Crystal Ball Owner: Admiral Custody
- Queen’s Quest will be blessed with many belts this year after February (Tall Saya has three belts & Saya, Utami, AZM will dethrone BariBari Bombers for the artist belts, Kevin becomes Futures champ
- Konosuke Takeshita will finally win hardware this year in AEW (a trios & either the International or TNT belt), his DDT theme returns, and he cuts heel promos again. But he becomes the most beloved heel in wrestling (beats MJF clean in a singles match) 2024)
- Toyo Mates (Kamiyu & Mahiro) wins the Tag Belts in Teej, but leaves Teej, yet maybe not CyberFight all together (DDT, Ganbare Pro-Wrestling, and freelance anyone?)
- Judgement Day becomes the most decorated group in WWE in 2024, Mami will be the most “despised” figure after assaulting AJ Lee in a CM Punk vs. Dom angle.
- AJ Styles vs. LA Knight vs. Logan Paul vs. Randy main events Mania Night 1 with Peacemaker as special guest referee.
- An expanded House of Torture invades AEW and causes the AEW locker room kayfabe wise to go into lawless anarchy leading to Terminator Kenny becoming the GM.
(this guy is insane imo)
Number FOUR: Nariaki
- Ric Flair will wrestle yet another final match
- Athena will not be on AEW TV, despite her success
- Punk vs. Rollins will be a WON 4.75-Star Rating — Only if competed at WrestleMania
- No Reiwa Musketeer will pin Naito or Okada
- An AJPW show will outsell a NJPW show in the same venue
- Prince Nana will get fired

- Cody Rhodes will not finish his story at WrestleMania
- Rika Tatsumi will win the Princess Cup and win the Princes of Princess championship from Miyu Yamashita in October.
- Shingo Takagi will win NJ Cup
- Some form of a TLC match will happen in AEW in 2024
- Natsumi Sumikawa or Kouki wins the AWG Single Championship
And Finally — The one and only…. Myself!
- Billie Starkz will become ROH Women’s Champion
- AEW Rampage as we know it will end, it’ll either be lost or fully changed
- AJPW will outsell NOAH and NJPW in same venues, but end up losing Kento Miyahara close to the middle of the year
- Daniel Garcia and Suzu Suzuki will both win important singles titles
- Claudio, Nakajima and Skywalker will all compete in the G1 climax
- Sareee-Ism will continue to be the best booked Joshi shows, despite Sareee debuting in Stardom
Will they come true? Nobody knows, but we all think so! Make sure to have a little check once 2025 comes around (that is so strange to say) and see how we did!
